Summary

The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing OPay\'s IT infrastructure, systems, and team. The ideal candidate will ensure the stability, security, and scalability of all technology operations in alignment with the company\'s business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of IT infrastructure, networks, hardware, and software systems
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure operational efficiency and security
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the IT support team to deliver high-quality service across the organisation
  • Manage IT vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Ensure the security and integrity of all company data, systems, and networks
  • Plan and oversee IT projects, upgrades, and system implementations from inception to completion
  • Monitor system performance and ensure maximum uptime and availability
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness across all operations
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and data protection requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business needs through technology solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and support to senior management on IT-related matters

Requirements

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT management or a similar role
  • Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, and security systems
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, enterprise systems, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience in a fintech or financial services environment is an added advantage
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or equivalent are a plus
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
